Printable creativity worksheet
Oh what a surprise! What was inside the gift box? Draw it.
This activity facilitates learning, enhancing the child’s freedom of decision and nurturing their creativity. With this worksheet they can develop observation, decision making, concentration, as well as fine motor skills in a playful way.
Use this both at home or in the classroom (as warm up, center activity or exercise for fast finishers). Just print it out and give it to the kid to start drawing!
Some extra ideas
- Let your little big artist explore with a whole range of drawing materials: colored pencils, markers, collage, crayons, tempera, etc.
- To enhance the creativity of the activity, challenge the child to think unconventionally, what if the gift is something that does not exist in the real world? What if it is a non-tangible object, something abstract?
- We can add empathy to the activity if we specify that the gift is not for them, what was in the box if it is a gift for a friend, a neighbor, for their parents, etc.? What if it is for a child who lives on another continent or in an environment opposite to their own?
